Workshop 1 – Demo Pipe Flow

This tutorial provides the basic interaction with AcuConsole. A simple cad model of a pipe is imported, meshed, the boundary conditions are applied, and the model is solved. The results are post-processed using AcuProbe and AcuFieldView.

Workshop 2 – Conjugate Heat Transfer

This tutorial shows how to set up a conjugate heat transfer problem in AcuConsole. A concentric pipe is modeled with water flowing inside and the outer cylindrical volume made of Steel is maintained at a constant temperature. This tutorial also teaches how to apply boundary layers to the surfaces, transform the mesh and provides a brief introduction to AcuFieldView

Workshop 3 – Blower – Reference Frame

This tutorial shows how to use the Reference frame feature for rotating model problems. A simple blower is modeled with air entering radially and leaving axially. The impeller is frozen (no mesh motion) and rotational body forces are applied using the AcuSolve Reference frame feature. This tutorial also introduces the UDF functionality in AcuProbe for computing the pressure rise from inlet to outlet

Workshop 4 – Blower – Sliding Mesh

This tutorials shows how to set up a transient sliding mesh blower model. A database already set up for running steady reference frame analysis is modified to run as transient sliding mesh. Mesh motion is applied to the impeller blades and the nodes at the interface are split to enable the sliding mesh.

Workshop 5 – Compressible Nozzle

This tutorial uses the ideal gas model for modeling compressible flow through a nozzle. Mesh is directly imported into AcuConsole, and the model is set up with the help of Surface Manager and Volume Manager. UDF feature in AcuProbe is used for computing Mach Number at the center of the nozzle

This tutorial teaches how to set up a rigid body mesh motion simulation in AcuConsole. An existing database is modified and the mesh motion and flow boundary conditions are applied.

This tutorial teaches how to set up a natural convection model in AcuConsole. A steady state simulation of buoyancy driven laminar flow caused by an internally heated cylinder within an air-filled cylinder is modeled.
