Abstract
The paper discusses the complete design and development of household clothes tumbler dryer using AcuSolve as the CFD solver. A parametric study was conducted to access the effects of different design variables on energy efficiency, moisture extraction rate and safety norms. It is shown that product development cycle time and cost can be significantly minimized by the use of CFD simulations. Also the CFD output is validated.
